About Fulltime Auto Glass

A Greater Boston team that cares about every installation.

Fulltime Auto Glass started in Everett, Massachusetts, with one van and a simple promise: show up on time, install it right and stand behind the work. Over the years that promise grew into a team of technicians serving all of Greater Boston — at customers' homes and workplaces and at our shop on Chelsea Street.

Every installation follows the same routine: the correct glass identified by VIN, careful preparation of the frame, premium urethane, the manufacturer's safe drive-away time and a final check before we hand back the keys. When the vehicle has driver-assistance cameras or radars, our calibration division, TrueLine Calibration, confirms and performs the calibration the manufacturer requires.

We're affiliated with the Auto Glass Safety Council (AGSC), and we help customers with their insurance from the first call to the final invoice — or provide a clear private quote when there's no coverage.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you work with my insurance company? How does the deductible work?

We work with the major insurers in Massachusetts and help you from the first call: we check whether your policy covers glass, help you open the claim and bill the insurance company directly. Coverage and the deductible depend on your policy — many comprehensive policies in Massachusetts cover glass with little or no deductible, but only your insurer can confirm it.

I don't have insurance (or don't want to use it). Can I get a quote?

Yes. We serve private-pay customers every day. Send us your vehicle's year, make, model and VIN (or plate) and we'll quote the glass options, labor and any calibration the manufacturer requires — before you decide.

What's the difference between OEM and aftermarket glass?

OEM glass is made by or for the vehicle manufacturer and carries its branding. Aftermarket (OEE) glass is made by independent manufacturers to fit the same opening, usually at a lower price. Both must meet federal safety standards. We identify the exact part by VIN, explain the differences in brand, features and price, and let you choose.

How long does the installation take, and when can I drive?

A windshield replacement usually takes about 60–90 minutes, plus time for ADAS calibration when required. The urethane needs a minimum safe drive-away time that depends on the adhesive and the weather — typically about one hour. We tell you the exact time before we leave.

Any care after the replacement? Can I wash the car?

For the first 24–48 hours: leave a window slightly open to balance cabin pressure, avoid slamming doors, leave the retention tape in place and skip high-pressure or automatic car washes. Hand washing is fine after the first day; avoid pressure directly on the moldings.

Do you do mobile service on rainy days?

Urethane and the glass must stay clean and dry during installation, so mobile service depends on the weather and on a sheltered, level spot (a garage or carport works). On rainy or very cold days we may offer a slot at our Everett shop instead.

When is ADAS calibration necessary, and how does it appear in the quote?

If your vehicle has a camera behind the windshield (lane keeping, emergency braking, adaptive cruise), the manufacturer may require calibration after the glass is replaced. We confirm it by VIN and, when required, list the calibration as a separate line in your quote — static, dynamic or both — so there are no surprises. It's performed by our calibration division, TrueLine Calibration.

Can the chip be repaired instead of replacing the windshield?

Often yes, when the chip is small, not in the driver's direct line of sight and the crack is short. Repairability depends on the size, location and condition of the damage — a repair improves strength and appearance but may remain slightly visible. We assess it and recommend replacement when that is the safer option.

What does the lifetime workmanship warranty cover?

It covers defects in our installation — such as water leaks, wind noise or loose moldings caused by the install — for as long as you own the vehicle. It does not cover glass breakage, rock chips, accidents or damage to the body of the vehicle. See the full conditions on our Warranty page.
